My first Colorful Run

On October 12th, 2014 the Happiest 5K Colorful run took place at Nasam, Sabah. If i am not mistaken, it was the first event in Kota Kinabalu. As a name suggest, it is indeed a colorful run. The check in is really early in the morning. It's around 7am to 10am.

We ready at the start

For each kilometers miles stone achieved, we are splashed with 1 colorful powder to mark the achievement.
But this is nothing match of similar event in oversea. I have heard of such similar event of which participants are canonized more powerful spray of powder. Anyway, a big credit to The National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM) for organizing such a memorable event. The clean and dull t-shirt that we wear at the outset ended with 5 different colors.

Before
After
Owh ya, if you like to take pictures while running, do not forget to wrapped your camera with the plastic food wrapper. Protect your equipment or else you might not gonna recognized it at the finishing line. Careful they don't splashed the colours you in the face. I can see few runners were rubbing their eyes. Remember to bring extra clothes or towel or anything to sit on for your car. Like me, I have to take 2 times long shower.

Don't forget to get all the free isotonic water after the race. I managed to get few bottles before I leave the event. This run is all about company, family and friends. It is not a competitive race. Like me and my friends ended up walking and just enjoying the event.

For those who were unable to join this time event, don't worry. Hopefully by next year they will be another enjoyful colorful running. Be prepared to get stained and colours. Just remember to smile and be happy! For us, it was definitely worth the experience, might even do it again next year! Wehuuuu

Late Entry

Hi everyone! Resuming duty after a long break is indeed a tough job. And i hate it when i have to be separated away from my favorite niece. I just wish that i could take another long break and spending some fab. time with her. It is sad to learn that everyone is growing up too swiftly. Time fly so fast, damn! We just need to cherish every moment and never miss the opportunity to telling those special people in your life how much they are meant to you.
Just wanted to share a sad story that happened last 2 weeks before Raya. My old friend's husband was killed in a gory accident when the car that he is traveling in crashed into a tree and turned into a ball of flames. Her late husband was burnt beyond recognition. I fell that my heart as if shattered into a million pieces after hearing that news. What i remember is I haven't see him for the past 8 years. Now he has gone. I just hope that my friend and her children will be able to move on slowly. I believe it's good to prepare for tomorrow, but don't let it bother you too much until you forget to enjoy today. Always believe in Allah.
Different story now. I cant even express how grateful i am that this year Raya, my brother and his wife able to gathered with our parents. Thanks mom for preparing some homemade cookies and some bought cookies for this time celebration. I have a confession to make: I don't love cooking but what i really love is food, food and food. Because i am not good in cooking, so i just decided to let mom preparing home-cooked 'lauk' to bring back to my grandpa's 'kampung'. I just help mom cutting this and that and throw it in a pan. It's really fun though.He.he Owh ya, another good news for Jaafar's family. I will expecting to have another addition to my family tree.
My sister in law is now pregnant with her second child. I just hope and pray that everything goes well. My baby niece turned two few days after Raya. Lots of personality on this 2 year old! She really loves to sing Alphabet song, running here and there. And here i just wanted to share random images when i was home. Enjoy..:)

My 3rd Marathon Story

A warm hello to everyone! I feel crappy, maybe due to the weather and i have to admit that i am unproductive, lethargic and lazy today. What i do is just lay down on the couch and enjoying my caramel latte from The Coffee Bean. What a life!

Luckily i have got a very understanding cat. She accompany me throughout the day. Thank you dear Sunny.

Owh ya, 3 weeks ago i have added a 3rd marathon medal to my collection. I was actually enjoyed this time marathon compare to last year. Syukur to Allah me and my friends were able to finish the 10KM (6.2miles) Borneo International Marathon. Everyone has their own goals for doing a marathon. I'd like to say that my only goal is to run less than 2 hours. And hoorayyy i did it. Will I do it again next year? Maybe.

If you like the idea of racing but feel like 6.2 miles is too far to race, i think you could start with 5KM (3.1 miles) race. And trust me, you will enjoyed the race just like we did. Don't worry, you will never be running alone. You can recruits your friends to join you on the day. In the first 5 miles, just look around at the surroundings and the runners along the way. You need to feel really relaxed.

If you are interested to participating in a race, keep in mind that following a training schedule will always keep you on track. You need to keep fit before the race.

People said jogging every 20 min a day is much better. Even tough i only run twice a week. But sometimes i play badminton up to 4 times a week with my friends. I feel healthier and more energetic. 2 days before the race, i just enjoy a short walk with them. For those who hate running, i guess it is the time to challenge yourself. You can start with 5KM first then see how it goes. I know you can! Running is about confidence. And the best way to get self confidence is to do what you are afraid to do.

Simple Family Trip

Hey, i just came back from vacation with my parents and also my beautiful niece. It was indeed a very short trip with them and we enjoyed ourselves very much. This vacation was entirely sponsored by my lovely sister-in-law. Much gratitude to her. I believe it is the right time for us to spends time together as a family meaningfully. The happiest person for this time family trip of course my beautiful baby niece Daania. She is the first baby on my side of the family.

We stayed at Celyn Resort, Kundasang over 2 days and 1 night. Family suite is enough for 7 person including my baby niece. I think the rate for government staff is not so expensive.

The suite is fully equipped like heater, hair dryer and also come with 3 air conditioners. I don't think you will need the air conditioner as the weather there was already chilling down the bone. I always read others bad review regarding the gravel road but still i insisted to my sister in law in opting for the resort as the hotel does have a very beautiful view of Mount Kinabalu. Plus, this is the third time i have been staying here. But poor us, the day we checked in until the day we checked out, it was continuously raining. Hence, we can't even see the sun rise as it was blocked by the thick ivory cloud and cold mist. Ended up, we decided to enjoy our sabah tea at the balcony while waiting for the rain to cease.
Since my little brother working out of KK town, we choose to celebrate his birthday here at the Celyn Resort during night time. Happy birthday brother, wish you all the best in your life.

I pay RM100 for the BBQ utensils, round table, plates and also glasses that i guess a bit pricey. And mom bring the fresh seafood and chicken from home.
Oh Yeah and when the weather turns cold, we feel like like eating more, more and more.

I think that's all for now. I can't wait for our next family trip somewhere in April. Bye!

2014

  Today is 19th January 2014.

 I hope it's
still not too late to wishing everyone a fabulous new year. May this year bring more happiness, hope, love, laughter and brightness to all of us. New year is the time when all people around the world making their promises. Hah it is during this New Year time that everyone resolute to be fit and loose some inch of fat, to save some money, to work hard and smart bla bla bla..... There is absolutely nothing you can achieve in this year. All you need is hard work and a lot of faith. Bismillahirohmanirohim.

On new year's eve, me and my junior colleague was having fun at the Marina Bay Cafe, Sutera Harbour.

We ate a lot, gossiping a lot and laugh a lot. We keep on talking about our new resolutions. I told her that i want to keep fit, healthy and strong. I want to lose my weight from 60kg to at least 50kg. I hate to see that ugly fat protruding from my baby T. I hate it when somebody stupid asking me that if i am pregnant. Uwaaaaaaaa
Owh ya, i just got my new kicks for this year. I really really like the color of my shoes.
While writing this post now, my new NIKE shoes still kept nicely in box-unused. Choi choi choi!

But as my buddy always said resolutions are meant to be broken. But never mind, you still can revised your resolution or put off until the next year. 1 of my resolution for this year, i want to save more money every month and I'm planning to move to my new nice apartment before mid of this year. I am a bit anxious each time i talked about my new apartment because i am thinking to bring along my baby together with me but i am afraid she might not gonna like it.

I have heard that cats are not big fans of change. Haiyaaa...
I will post about my new nice apartment very soon. Can't wait to share the before and after pictures of my apartment in few weeks from now.

My day has come

Hard to believe that year 2013 is coming to a renewal of 2014 soon. I really missed blogging! Memories of those moments of nice weather shinning day were still vivid. I need to further my study more. Determined. For those who have always stood by me, words of thank you....from my heart.

Last 2 weeks, i managed to attend my convocation at the PICC, Putrajaya. It was happy, happy, happy day on Saturday. 2 years of long persevered endurance, my dream to be a degree holder with honors has prevailed. I am amazed and flattered. Should i prestiged marriage as the first on the list, shall though the moment of graduation be my definite no 2. From top to toe, glaringly new donning matching fashionable adornment. Perfect grooming in my eye. Luckily Mahsa University has not ruled for covered black shoe. Amboi, showing off yeah...
Look at my green shoes
Indeed, it isn't an extraordinary thing, more or less like a formal ceremony whereby thousands of similar graduand came to receive the ultimate scroll. This would be my 3rd convocation. So qualified now. Donning my MORTAR box. Everyone should know the waiting for your turn would always be a real pain for the sake of a short 30 seconds onstage glamor. Anyways its past tense now.

Owh yes, for my parents, thank you for all the supports all these whiles. Also to my brothers, my in law and my close friends. Special for Sunny, thank you for your companionship and entertaining me. I love you. Eh by the way, Sunny is a cat. My cat. Meow.

It's from my mom and dad

I am getting older

I celebrate my birthday last week at The Glass Grill & Bar. Wo hoo!! Actually i am not so excited for getting older. When i was in the early of 20s, 25 will always be my scary age. I am tired of friends asking me why i am waiting so long to get married? And i said, what the ??? And now at the age of 31, i still have a lot of things to chase. And hellooooo, please stop asking me when i'm going to get married okay. I understand maybe they just want to congratulate a friend on a special moment. Oh goody!

Baskin Robbins. Nyum!
By the way, thanks a lot for all the wonderful wishes and gifts. How to staying young? Eat slowly and lie about your age. Hehe
